Content Disclaimer

When I write an article, whether it is for my own blog or a client blog (website), I research a LOT. I find a range of resources (sources) that help me to write accurate content and avoid misleading or providing false information.

I do my blooming best at all times.

However, online, nothing is permanent and nothing can be truly ‘fact checked’ against every opinion out there.

Every source listed within any article on my ‘blog’ has been checked for credibility with my best intentions and abilities. I look at:

  • author qualifications,
  • organisational reputation,
  • publication standards, and
  • whether claims are actually backed by evidence.

Here’s the key, though: I do all the above checking when I can. Sometimes this is not entirely possible so I have to go with my gut instinct and my own belief and opinion.

Also, within each ‘Sources’ section when I add one, I prioritise official sources, established research, and recognised experts over random blogs and commercial and clickbait nonsense.

I hate clickbait just as much as you do!

Disclaimer

But here’s the reality (my disclaimer): I can’t control what happens on those external sites after I’ve published this.

  • Content changes,
  • pages vanish,
  • organisations update their positions.

So whilst I’ve done the legwork to ensure these sources were solid when I mentioned (cited) them, if you’re making significant decisions, verify the current information yourself or talk to someone qualified.
